Under the baton of the Artistic Director of the CyYSO, Yiorgos Kountouris, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, along with the soloists Boris Belkin, violin and Finghin Collin, piano, will perform  rare romantic masterpieces, by the great composers E. Grieg, M. Bruch & D. Shostakovich.

THE ARTBASSADOR provided the Orchestra with the music material of the work Festive Overture 0p.96, by D. Shostakovich,on behalf of the Publishing House, Boosey & Hawkes UK.

The play, adapted for the theatre by Samuel Tasinaje, is based on the famous 1985 French film “Trois hommes et un couffin” by Coline Serreau, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and a Golden Globe for Best Film.

William Luce's iconic play "Barrymore: The Rise and Fall of an Idol", is widely considered as one of the most important theatrical portraits ever written. 

After its 1996 debut at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario Canada, the play was transfered to Broadway, with Christopher Plummer in the title role, earning him the 1997 Tony Award for Best Actor.

Designed to introduce symphonic music to audiences through multimedia, the event highlights the evolution of the opera, featuring music, videos, historical analysis and personal stories, exploring hidden symbolism and musical patterns.

Under the music direction of the conductor Lukas Karytinos, the Orchestra will perform excerpts from beloved operas by G.Puccini, J. Offenbach, G. Rossini,  G. Bizzet, W. A. Mozart, C. Monteverdi, to name only a few.

Under the music direction of the conductor Kornilios Michailidis, the Orchestra and the soloist Denis Kozhukhin, one of the world’s most complete and compelling pianists, will perform Rachmaninoff's famous works, including Piano Concertos No. 4, Op. 40 & No 3 Op. 30 and the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43.
