A Tribute to Mikis Theodorakis

On 13 January, a tribute to our great composer Mikis Theodorakis, took place at Thessaloniki Concert Hall, in the frame of the celebration for the 60 years of the University of Macedonia and the 20 years of the Department of Music Science and Art.
The String Orchestra, the Wind Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia, together with the Traditional Music Ensembles and the "Poetics" workshop, presented in an exceptional concert, circles of songs of the unique Mikis Theodorakis .
The concert sealed with its success the Cooperation Agreement between Thessaloniki Concert Hall and the University of Macedonia!
The Artbassador provided the Orchestras with the music material of Mikis Theodorakis’ works: 3rd SYMPHONY for symphony orchestra, choir and solo soprano or mezzo soprano : 3rd Movement, on behalf of the Publishing House BREITKOPF & HAERTEL and with the music material of the works SUITE BALLET ZORBAS : Scenes 21, 22 and 23 for symphony orchestra, 2 bouzouki and choir και AXION ESTI Oratorio : No 8 The blood of love – Third Reading : Prophetic for symphony orchestra and choir, on behalf of the Publishing House SCHOTT Music GmbH.
