TRIBUTE TO THE COMPOSER PIERRE BOULEZ

On the occasion of the international celebration for the ninety years of the famous French composer, maestro, music theorist and educator, Pierre Boulez, the music ensemble IONIAN FESTIVAL presents:

A.    11 January 2015

The work LE MARTEAU SANS MAITRE in national premiere, at the Foundation Michael Cacoyiannis. The music ensemble IONIAN FESTIVAL is conducted by Mo Nikos Athineos with soloist the mezzo soprano Aggeliki Kathariou. This event is dedicated to the memory of the victims from the terrorist attack against the French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

B.     17 February 2015

The work IMPROVISE POUR LE DR.K for 5 players in national premiere, at the Auditorium of the French Institute of Athens. The music ensemble IONIAN FESTIVAL is conducted by Mo Pierre-Andre Valade with soloist the mezzo soprano Aggeliki Kathariou.

The Artbassador provided the Music Ensemble IONIAN FESTIVAL with the music material of the works on behalf of the music publisher UNIVERSAL EDITION Austria.
