DINNER WITH FRIENDS by Donald Margulies SUMMER TOUR 2021

''Dinner with friends'', the multi awarded play by the American playwright Donald Margulies, produced by the "MUNICIPAL REGIONAL THEATRE OF SERRES", translated by Grigoris Valtinos and directed by Kalliopi Evagelidou, travels throughout Northern Greece, since 4 August.  A modern and smart comedy, in an absolutely sensational performance with a great cast in the starring roles: Kalliopi Evagelidou, Dimitris Koustolidis, Asteropi Charitidou and Konstantinos Mavropoulos.

"Dinner With Friends" had its world premiere in 1998, as part of the Humana Festival of New American Plays at Actors Theatre of Louisville and next year opened Off-Broadway. The play won the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play, Outer Critics' Circle Award for Off-Broadway Play and was also nominated for 2000 Drama League and Drama Desk Awards.

Deliciously funny and wise disturbing, Donald Margulies’ bittersweet play is a witty portrayal of relationships and friendship in the age of divorce. Two married couples, four longtime friends and their bonds. When one announces their divorce,  the seemingly calm waters of the other couple's marriage will be disturbed and their relationships will be fractured.
