24 June 2017 In the frame of the ATHENS & EPIDAURUS FESTIVAL, Ergon Ensemble presents three masterpieces of the contemporary music repertoire
In the frame of the ATHENS & EPIDAURUS FESTIVAL 2017, the audience has the chance to enjoy three masterpieces of the contemporary music repertoire, on the 24th of June by the famous Music Ensemble Ergon Ensemble, at Kotopouli stage of REX theatre. Paris Mexis was the director of the performance.
The ERGON ENSEMBLE was conducted by the worldwide known maestro Kasper de Roo. The baritone Holger Falk and the soprano Artemis Bogri, participated.
The following works were performed:
- KASSANDRA by Iannis Xenakis
- MY ILLNESS IS THE MEDICINE I NEED by Thomas Larcher
- EIGHT SONGS FOR A MAD KING by Peter Maxwell Davies
This was the time for the Ergon Ensemble to revisit the Athens & Epidaurus Festival with a "mad" performance!
The Artbassador provided the Ensemble with the music material of the work EIGHT SONGS FOR A MAD KING by Peter Maxwell Davies, on behalf of the Publishing House BOOSEY AND HAWKES.
