58th DIMITRIA FESTIVAL

The Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, brings down the curtain on the 58th Dimitria Festival, hosting the historical Sofia Philarmonic Orchestra in a unique concert!

Under the music direction of the renowned Bulgarian conductor Nayden Todorov, the two Orchestras will present the following works:  

Bohuslav Martinů (1890-1959): Double Concerto for 2 String Orchestras, Piano  & Timpani, H.271
                                                          Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975): Festive Overture, Op.96
                                                          Edward Elgar (1857-1934): Pomp and Circumstance military marches

THE ARTBASSADOR provided the Orchestra with the music material of B. Martinů & D. Shostakovich works, on behalf of the Publishing House BOOSEY & HAWKES UK.
