The Greek National Opera, in a co-production with the Royal Danish Opera presents, one of the most popular works of the operatic repertoire: Richard Wagner’s masterpiece "Die Walküre", conducted by the acclaimed French conductor Philippe Auguin, hailed for his exceptional renditions of Wagner's works worldwide and directed by the distinguished British director, John Fulljames!

Being the second part of Wagner’s opera tetralogy Der Ring des Nibelungen, the most extensive work in operatic history, “Die Walküre “ is very often presented independently, featuring fascinating and enchanting music of the highest quality filled with many musical innovations, which have influenced subsequent generations of composers.

Set in a mythical world and featuring a riveting plot, this intensely dramatic work is a universal story about war, fear, courage and love. 

In this GNO's notable production, an all-star international creative team and a celebrated pleiad of Greek and foreign soloists along with the Orchestra of the Greek National Opera, create a unique performance, offering audiences an unforgettable operatic experience.
