The charm of the Athens State Orchestra
Johann Strauss II and Igor Stravinsky's works live by Athens State Orchestra
The Athens State Orchestra was very active in September performing “Annen Polca” op. 117 of Johann Strauss II, at the Bay of Zea, Piraeus, and at the Athens Concert Hall Gardens, in the frame of two concerts under the general title “The Charm of Voice” - Excerpts from treasured operas and operettas. The first concert took place in cooperation with the International festival "Symphony" of Piraeus and Argosaronikos islands.
On October, the Athens State Orchestra presented Igor Stravinsky’s “Circus Polka” for large orchestra at the Athens Concert Hall. The concert took place in the frame of a concert entitled "10 years since the death of Odysseus Dimitriadis".
