ATHENS STATE ORCHESTRA: ‘’TELL IT PRESTO WITH MAESTRO’’
07 May 2017 THE HISTORY OF THE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA IN ONE HOUR!
The ATHENS STATE ORCHESTRA presented the history of the “Symphony Orchestra” in just one hour, covering about 400 years of music creation and inspiration, presenting representative music works of the symphonic repertoire.
The narration “presto” with Eliza Gogou “maestro”, is based on an idea of the violinist Irida Louka who also wrote the texts. The actors Makis Papadimitriou and Giannos Perlegas took on the narrative parts accompanied by representative symphonic works from Jean Baptiste Lully, Dmitri Shostakovich, Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Josef Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Frantz Schubert, Johann Brahms, Piotr Illich Tchaikovsky, Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss.
