28 May 2022 TΗΕ ATHENS MUNICIPALITY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AT THE ATHENS OLYMPIA MUSIC THEATER "MARIA CALLAS"
The New Talents 2022 Concert Series, a production by the Athens’ Culture - Sports and Youth Organization (OPANDA) concludes its yearly cycle with a marvelous concert!
The evening begins with the young talented guitar soloist Antigoni Baxe, performing the “Concerto for Guitar & Chamber Orchestra, opus 67” by Malcom Arnold, a triumphant demonstration of the versatility of the guitar, which is widely considered to be one of the finest concertos in the guitar repertoire.
In the second part of the evening, the Athens Municipality Symphony Orchestra, directed by the conductor Michalis Economou, will perform the “Symphony no 8” by Antonín Dvořák.
THE ARTBASSADOR provided the Orchestra with the music material of the work of Malcom Arnold “Concerto for Guitar & Chamber Orchestra, opus 67”, on behalf of the Publishing House Wise Music Group.
