LE VENT DES PEUPLIERS by Gerald Sibleyras

Three veterans who served in the First World War, live out their days in a retirement home, reminiscing about their old glories and making ambitious plans to escape. All worried, tired and helpless, but passionate about life and determined to dream, they embark on one last adventure to freedom.

The multi-award winning play "Le vent des peupliers", by the famous playwright Gérald Sibleyras, premiered in 2003, at the Théâtre Montparnasse, receiving 4 "Molière" nominations. It has been staged all over the world, enjoying successful productions, while the 2006 West End production, in translation by Tom Stoppard, won the 2006 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.
