ATHENS STATE ORCHESTRA: STRAUSS, PROKOFIEV, THEODORAKIS
28 April 2017- 28 April 2017 The ASO presents works of famous composers at the Athens Concert Hall
The execution of Richard Strauss’ work DON QUIXOTE by the Athens State Orchestra was pending since last year and was finally realised on the 28th of April at the Athens Concert Hall.
The Athens State Orchestra with the kind support of the German Embassy, presented the epic work of Strauss, in the same program with the ‘classic’ symphony of Prokofiev and the gentle ‘feast’ of Theodorakis, under the music direction of Stefanos Tsialis with the participation of the German violoncellist Gabriel Svambe and the Greek violinist Paris Anastasiadis.
The Artbassador provided the music material of the work DON QUIXOTE OP.35 by Richard Strauss, on behalf of the Publishing House C.F. Peters, the music material of the work SYMPHONY NO 1 IN D MAJOR OP.25 ‘’CLASSICAL’’ by Serge Prokofiev on behalf of the Publishing House Boosey & Hawkes and the work THE FEAST OF ASSI-GONIA, A SYMPHONIC SCHERZO by Mikis Theodorakis on behalf of the Publishing House Schott Music.
