Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra – Bye, Bye Summer

The Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra (TSSO) bided farewell to the summer with a festive open-air concert at Aristotelous Square on September 12th 2014, with vast attendance.

TSSO presented successfully works from famous operas, in Jazz rhythms and Spanish riffs, under the conduction of its artistic director and conductor George Vranos.

Several artists participated, such as: mezzo soprano Angeliki Kathariou, tenor Dimitris Paksoglou, bandoneon soloist Kostas Raptis, guitar soloist Helena Papandreou. The event was presented by Diogenis Didaskalou.

Joaquin Rodrigo’s “Concerto de Aranjuez” and Luciano Berio’s “Azerbaijan Love Song” (“Folk Songs”) were presented among others.

THE ARTBASSADOR provided the Orchestra with the necessary music material, on behalf of the music publishers SCHOTT MUSIC and UNIVERSAL EDITION AG respectively.
