THE ADDAMS FAMILY – A NEW MUSICAL on the GREEK STAGE

Back in 1938, Charles Addams created his cartoon characters, members of a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre. The success of the bizarre still lovable “Addams family” was then inevitable. People embraced the “Addams” and numerous film and television adaptations were created afterwards.

Recently, the famous family was presented “alive” for the first time, in front of their fans’ eyes.  “THE ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL ” came true: Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice wrote the book and Andrew Lippa created the music and lyrics. After its hit on the Broadway stage, the multi-awarded musical has been staged in all big cities around the world, one after the other.

Happily, it came to the Greek stage as well! Directed and translated by Themis Marsellou, with a tremendous cast of 27 actors, singers and dancers and a live orchestra, the Greek production of “The Addams family Musical’ is a major success. The performances take place at VEBO Theater in Athens. 

In this story, the Addams kids are growing up and their beloved daughter Wednesday, now an eighteen year-old young woman, falls in love with a boy from a normal, respectable family — the most un-Addams sounding person one could be! She invites his family to their home for a dinner. This will definitely be one of the most revealing nights for all of them!
