WORLD MUSIC DAY
21 June 2024 THE GREEK RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AT HERODES ATTICUS ODEON
Once again, the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Athens Epidaurus Festival celebrate the World Music Day, presenting a marvelous concert at the Herodes Atticus Odeon!
Under the music direction of the conductor Michalis Oikonomou, the 13- year-old piano soloist Elisey Mysin-the child prodigy of Russia- will perform Chopin's Piano Concerto No 2, while the Orchestra along with the City of Athens and Greek Radio Chorus will perform some of the world’s musical masterpieces, by D. Shostakovich, P. I. Tchaikovsky and A. Borodin.
THE ARTBASSADOR provided the Orchestra with the music material of the work "Festive Overture" in A major, Op. 96, by D. Shostakovich, on behalf of the Publishing House BOOSEY & HAWKES UK.
