SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA OF CYPRUS: A TOUCH OF APHRODITE AND MORE (UTE LEMPER)

The city of Pafos, legendary homeland of Venus, the ancient goddess of beauty and love, was the perfect mythical scenery for Kurt Weill’s music and Bertolt Brecht’s poetry.
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra presented at Castle Square of Pafos the SUITE from the ‘’RISE AND FALL OF THE CITY OF MAHAGONNY’’ and the SUITE from the ‘’THE THREEPENNY OPERA’
The performance was dedicated to the passion of love and life, enriched by the unique voice of UTE LEMPER, under the music direction of Giorgos Kountouris.
The Artbassador provided the Symphony Orchestra of Cyprus with the music material of Kurt Weill’s works, on behalf of the Publishing House Universal Edition AG.
