THESSALONIKI STATE ORCHESTRA – Concerts on November 4, 11 and 16 2013
The Thessaloniki State Orchestra presented:
- In the concert of November 4th 2013 entitled MUSIC FROM CINEMA, George Gershwin’s famous work RHAPSODY IN BLUE.
The concert took place at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall at the venue “Friends of Music”. The Orchestra was conducted by Philipe Bender with Apostolos Palios as piano soloist.
- In the concerts of November 11th and 16th entitled MUSICIANS PERSECUTED, two very important works, Erwin Schulhoff’s DOUBLE CONCERTO FOR FLAUTO AND ORCHESTRA and Mikis Theodorakis SINFONIETTA.
The concert of November 11th took place at the rehearsals’ venue of the orchestra. The Orchestra was conducted by Alexander Mirat with the soloists : Simos Papanas (violin), David Alexander Bogorad (viola), Nikolos Dimopoulos (flute) and Dimitris Dimopoulos (piano).
The concert of November 16th took place at the Auditorium de la Cite de la musique et de la danse in Strasbourg. The Orchestra was conducted by Alexander Mirat with the soloists : Simos Papanas (violin), David Alexander Bogorad (viola), Jae Ah Yoo (flute) and Laurent Cabasso (piano).
