When Petra von Kant, a divorced prominent fashion designer, falls in love with Karen, a young and ambitious model she hired, a passionate and merciless power game begins, sweeping everything in her life.
The famous play by the acclaimed German creator Rainer Werner Fassbinder premiered at the Theater am Turm, Frankfurt, in 1971. A year later, it was transferred to the big screen, adapted and directed by Fassbinder himself.
One of his most successful and recognisable works, widely regarded as his magnum opus and a classic of the German cinema.
