When a hidden camera reveals the secret plans and corrupt deals of an Austrian rising politician in order to strengthen his own political power, his career will collapse along with the country’s government!
Inspired by the infamous "Ibiza Affair", the political corruption scandal which shocked Austria in 2019, “SCHWARZWASSER” is another significant work by the multi awarded Austrian playwright Elfriede Jelinek, winner of the 2004 Nobel Prize for literature «for her musical flow of voices and counter-voices in novels and plays that, with extraordinary linguistic zeal, reveal the absurdity of society’s clichés and their subjugating power”.
