30 November 2024 THESSALONIKI STATE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AT THE ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY CEREMONY HALL

In the frame of the “Thessaloniki-Sofia: Balkan Cultural Bridge” program, the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra presents a concert, with famous works inspired by people's every day life in big cities, the urban culture and mentality. 

Under the music direction of the conductor Martin Lebel, the Orchestra and the piano soloist Simon Trpčeski, will perform the following works:

 Aaron Copland (1900-1990): Fanfare for the common man
 John Adams (1947): Short ride in a fast machine
                                                           Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959): The little train of Caipira
                                                           George Gershwin (1898-1937): Rhapsody in Blue
                                                           Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990): Symphonic Dances from ‘West Side Story’
