10 February 2024 THE CITY OF ATHENS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AT THE ATHENS OLYMPIA MUSIC THEATER "MARIA CALLAS"
Τhe City of Athens Culture, Sports & Youth Organization, OPANDA, in collaboration with the City of Athens Symphony Orchestra, celebrates the great music Spanish tradition with a vivid concert, dedicated to the fiery rythms of Spanish folk music.
Under the music direction of the distinguished conductor Andreas Tselikas, the Orchestra and the baritone Pablo Galvéz, whose outstanding voice has conquered the international scene, will present popular works, such as El Amor Brujo by Manuel de Falla and Capriccio Espagnol by Rimski-Korsakov, along with beloved compositions by G. Giménez, F. Alonso, P. Sorozábal, F. Moreno Torroba, J. Serrano, highlighting Spain’s unique lyric-dramatic genre, the famous zarzuela, an elegant combination of dance, singing and prose.
THE ARTBASSADOR provided the Orchestra with the music material of Concert's works, on behalf of the Spanish Collecting Society, Sociedad General de Autores y Editores, SGAE and the Publishing House WISE MUSIC GROUP.
